Kemi is an experienced Psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience in a range of organizational settings predominantly education and local authority mental health services. Her work is based on ensuring psychological safety for young people, particularly marginalized young people. She believes that of all the challenges that come with growing up, being Black shouldn’t be one of them.
Kemi is an experienced Trainer and Keynote Speaker delivering consultation and training on a range of mental health topics from workplace well-being to children’s mental health. Her areas of specialism and expertise are cultural competency & cultural humility, anti-racist practices in education, racial identity, and racial trauma. As a Black woman in leadership, Kemi has both lived experience and psychological understanding of the impact of navigating a predominantly white workspace. Kemi specializes in offering reflective supervision for Black women in leadership. She speaks on empathetic leadership highlighting a relationship-based approach to meaningful impact. She is driven by normalizing talking about mental health, fostering psychological safety, and ensuring psychological well-being is inclusive and accessible for all.
